The tax breaks that real estate investors currently get need to be eliminated. They’re parasites.

If the tax was applied to only new residential units, it would have the effect of raising property values on existing homes. The tax would need to be collected by the cities/counties, or at least designated to them. Otherwise the state would blow it on something else.
