There are a lot of people still sitting at their desks that time of day. Even five o’clock is too early for working people. I would think Natalie Hurst would be in permanent depression.

Regarding the Statesman – how much am I paying per word in the year 2008 compared with 1988 or 1998? It is pathetic. It mostly just echoes articles from other newspapers around the country which a person can read for free on the Internet, and very little of local interest. One would think there would be several people over there who are looking for new opportunities.
