Traffic out west is a cluster. Move to urban Boise, north or northwest. It’s got that small town feel that Meridian used to have! 🙂

I have to agree with you about getting the firemen off the streets. What it did to traffic in Meridian this weekend was a total nightmare. I even had every intention of giving them cash, but they were set up so poorly that they were never by my car when I was stopped. And it took me 6 signal changes to get through the light at Fairview and Locust Grove. Really bad planning.

Reading this reinforces my belief that our government, through sort of nickle and dime-style growth, has grown into so many wasteful and wrong-headed areas. The idea that people pay to see the Mayor speak about city business is just comical. What lemmings we have become!

As I understand it, they have thrown the citizens a bone by offering a few free seats. I also do not think that little bit of “there, now go sit down and shut up” on the part of the COC and city hall rectifies the almost complete disregard and disdain these “Jamokes” have for the common folk. So far, I have had the opportunity to meet many of those involved and to be honest, the vast majority are not bright enough to come in when it rains.(maybe that is why they chose to live in a semi-arid climate)

If America were a democracy, this would be a bad thing, but since we are a fascist country, it is entirely appropriate to exclude the peons / citizens.

(Fascism is the seamless blending of business and government for you non library types)
