I am curious with regard to which seat Mr. Honey will campaign. he seems to have many of the same views that are shared here. I wonder if he is aware that he will run against EVERY member of the council AND the mayor, as well as the Boise democratic machine. It will require significant funding to accomplish his goal. And in the event he does prevail, he needs to be prepared to be shunned by the rest of the council, as was Tibbs, because he beat one of "their buddies"! The existing city council and mayor's position is just as "elitist" as any high school clique! And equally as inept and hurtful!

I wish Mr. Honey the best being he wants to allow the citizens to have some say in how their money is spent by government. This kind of sounds like a new idea for the citizens of Boise.
My hunch is he is going to be running not only against other people but will be running against the Idaho Statesman who are all about taxes, taxes and more taxes. The Idaho Statesman seems to broadcast a demeanor of, there is no such thing of a government that too large and taxes too much. If Mr. Honey is not for that kind of government he's going to have his hands full, which is an understatement.
Guardian, thanks for putting Mr. Honey in the public light and in a fair light as on top of it!
