To DFA HR, You've been on 8th st. 5 months? We lived there 17 years.
Wait till the Hyde Park Street Fair arrives this fall. You'll wish you
could bash your brains out. It's at Camel's Back Park, and is a trashified
version of Julia Davis' Art in the Park, except, you will get to experience
noise deafening sound from really awful grunge bands, other types of music
as well in a sound range that police officers will tell you won't hurt your
eardrums, people illegally parking way past curbs into streets, people
walking down the middle of the street as well. When evening arrives, you
might luck out and not see any vomit from drunken idiots running in front of
your house, or, better yet, urinating there. You will find trash and
bottles in the streets. If you have a driveway, barricade it because people
will park in front of it for hours at a time. Please do attend the event.
You might find an interesting necklace to purchase, or, see a group of belly
dancers. The candied apples are good. Diane

A good code enforcement program is money well spent. Weeds, trash, junk cars and other eyesores are the community face to the world.

Civic pride is something that is very hard to legislate but code enforcement is one area community resources need to be focused to keep slobs from ruining cities and towns.

Code Enforcement people get more flak and abuse than any other govt. agency.
