BOISE CITY NO LONGER PROVIDES A TRANSCRIPT OF THE HOTLINE CALLS. THE SUMMARY VERSION IS CREATED BY THE OFFICE OF MAYOR STAFF AND REFLECTS THE VIEWS OF THE WRITER.

Don Nelson
Tioga St.

No trash pick-up/credit on bill
ISSUE: His trash as well as others in his neighborhood was not picked up last week due to sewer construction on Tioga St. He called Utility Billing to ask for a credit because the service was not provided and was told that there was no credit being offered and that he had no recourse in the matter. He wants to know if that’s correct. He wonders how the city can legally take something without returning the service.

She submitted a Public Records Request in writing to find out about the case and was told there is no record of this incident. A copy of the dispatch was requested from Ada County Sheriff’s Department and they said to request Incident #BP10067196. Comments & Discussion

Comments are closed for this post.

  1. As a not too infrequent user of the Mayor’s Hotline in the past, I can attest that on more than one occasion my message was improperly transcribed.

This being said, one can only expect that the new condensed versions of the transcripts will be even more inaccurate and incorrect.

  2. How much do you want to wager that a “sanitized” interpretation of these calls will lead to some very embarrasing, at least to the mayor and the city council, calls will be “inadvertantly deleted”?? I guess the easiest solution to it being “too hot in the kitchen” is to simply quit cooking.

  3. Trying to get government to do its job when it does not want to is impossible.

  4. I have always looked forward to reading this transcript. It will be a shame to see it go. Even more of a shame is knowing that there is probably another person in the unemployment office because of this decision. This version is not as informative.
