I am wondering if this is tied also to the Ada county's approval of an LID in a subdivision next to the landfill to bring water in and establish a pump station for Eagle Water Company. (Not Eagle City Water) Some in the subdivision have been opposing the LID due to high costs and possibility of driving a few retired veterans out of their homes. This plant would require water to run their processes and it sure would be convenient for Eagle Water to have some water right there. Ada county is even offering to "give" the water company the land to put the pump station on. This plant would likely contaminate the wells of the homeowners in the subdivision forcing them to get on public water, not to mention the air quality issues. This is a very costly way to produce energy. I believe it is more dangerous than nuclear energy in the long run, because it creates a definite contamination issue, whereas a nuclear facility when properly managed creates a very unlikely and rare contamination issue.

Republic/Allied Waste has plans to build a recycling center in Meridian and will glean all the usable stuff out of the trash they pick up. Now we get to the question of who owns the trash and how much will go to Dynamis?

There wasn't enough trash in Nampa to supply a Dynamis project and after a short but expensive study, the project came to a halt. Clearly, Waste Management Services has done a business plan and is looking for the recyclables to be a profit center for them. They will also be hiring people to work at this facility once it gets built. The question in my mind will be...who is first among equals in this trash to some anticipated value exercise?

Dynamis keeps building their house of cards on this deal and we can only wonder if it will ever get up and running and will there be any benefit to residents and rate payers of Idaho Power.
