dog, Americans in general are increased too… It’s not just a vet thing… it’s an economic thing. Biggest increase is in middle-aged whites who used to have hope for the American dream.

Dave, with your permission here is my favorite poem to reflect upon. In memory of the three very close veteran friends I have lost in the last sixteen months:

How about a photo from the Idaho Veterans Cemetary? Where my grandfather has s plot overlooking the new cemetary (there wasnt a veterans cemetery then)my father is buried, my wife and I will both be buried as veterans, my son who just returned from Afghanistan will be buried and my other son, will be buried some day, he leaves for bootcamp, a week from Monday after graduating high school this saturday will some day be buried.

We tend to forget just how much service members have given up and how few of us have served our country in the military. Our wars are now fought with an all volunteer force. The scars of warfare are not something most people give much thought these days. A trip through the Boise VA Hospital is something everyone should do as a reminder of just how much some people have given up in service to our nation.
