Red-light running is way more dangerous than speeding and they should concentrate on that.

Use of automatic cameras and computers to mail tickets is just too Orwellian. Having real cops hand out tickets is a jobs program.

I like the idea of enforcing people running red lights. Now how can we get them to inforce this law?

(5) No person shall sell, offer for sale, or install any noise suppressing system or device which will produce excessive or unusual noise.
And this from Sec 49-106(7) “Excessive” or “unusual noise” means any sound made by a passenger motor vehicle or a motorcycle at any time under any condition of grade, speed, acceleration or deceleration, which exceeds ninety-two (92) decibels, or any lower decibel level that is fixed by law or rules adopted by the board of health and welfare, on the “A” scale of a general radio company No. 1551-B sound level meter, or equivalent, stationed at a distance of not less than twenty (20) feet to the side of a vehicle or motorcycle as the vehicle or motorcycle passes the sound meter or is stationed not less than twenty (20) feet from a stationary motor or engine.

Officer standing on a corner. Takes videos of red light runners. Send them a ticket. A few weeks of hardcore enforcement every few months would end the problem in short order.
What ? no offense for hitting a cyclist ? what does it take ? another death ?

I agree with using real cops to stop crime and dangerous behavior/driving. The automatic cameras used in some places have been set to catch innocent people driving carefully... often by making the yellow cycle shorter and/or sending a ticket to any license plate visible in the photo frame... even if the car is stopped/stopping at the light.

However, I'm guessing that team Dave wants to use an automatic system and this is just an experiment.

Those in the Statehouse, the time is now to pass a law against automatic tickets.
