I suspect the kid was safer unattended in the street, than he would’ve been “attended” by Mr. Anderson, in his van with his pit-bull-type dog. I feel sorry for all the kids and dogs in these two stories. It’s a shame they’re surrounded by flaky, dangerous grownups.
