Perhaps you need to expect more of yourself and your personnel so they are more than just nice words!!

And, as you quoted Robert F. Kennedy, “Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope.”

Talk is cheap. Actions speak much louder than your pretty talk.

Can you and your personnel walk the walk, or just talk the talk?

You and City of Boise need to learn to walk the walk with regard to transparency and openness. Far too much is being swept under the carpeting with regard to “personnel issues”, and so forth!!!

We know about Anne Frank and so many others because of the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights… and other assorted Liberty & Justice documents/rulings. The same documents which are currently under dire threat from our own governments, courts, police departments, and the ignorance & apathy of the citizen.

I believe the greatest threat to Americans at the moment is the failure of our governments and agencies to protect us from the massive and unfocused police & bureaucratic overreach resulting from 9/11. If the current trend of the freedom index continues, the 19 radical Saudi Muslims will have won after all.

If you think I’m full of beans, a lower-court judge agreed with a prosecutor recently, IN AMERICA, that a suspect’s silence during police questioning without a lawyer and immediately post DUI-auto wreck… WAS AN ADMISSION OF GUILT. Please tell me what kind of prosecutor and judge that is? Seems kinda brown-shirt to me.

So chief, you are right. We must remain vigilant, because the brown-shirts can rise again from any particular group which gains enough power and righteousness… even those with rainbow underwear.
