It bums me out when people are so negligent with the American flag.

Idaho Law: UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION — NATIONAL FLAG AND COLORS — NATIONAL ANTHEM — “AMERICA” — CITIZENSHIP.
(2) Instruction in the proper use, display and history of and respect for the American flag and the national colors shall be given in all elementary and secondary schools. Such instruction shall include the pledge of allegiance to the flag, the words and music of the national anthem, and of “America.”

I’ve established a personal tradition – I like to hit the road on Memorial Day on my motorcycle, and visit a few cemeteries in the valley. They NEVER look better than on Memorial Day. The State Veterans’ Cemetery and Morris Hill in Boise always look wonderful, decked out in red, white and blue. Other favorites: Emmett, Melba, Parma, and Nyssa, OR (all have commanding overlooks of the valley below). Small-town folks seem particularly patriotic.
