Dave…. do you always speak of yourself in 3rd person? JK Dave I mean you no disrespect. We vehemently disagree on some things (cops) and agree on others (deer in the headlights Dave)but one thing I will never do is challenge your right to your opinion… no matter how wrong it is..nor will I ever discredit your service… one vet to another..even if you were army..at least you weren’t a marine.

I think all of us that lived in that time didn’t come through without some scars. Getting a draft notice and a number… but getting off because you were going to college…. or your friends have a friend on the draft board…. nothing was fair…

No doubt the ones that went have more scars than the rest of us…. but today I can say I would died for my county but not my government . Never trusted them after the war. Too many lies and too easy for them to say the lies.

Truth is I don’t see much difference in what we are doing today… Maybe worse

I have read David’s book and reccomend it. The story of seeing shadows on the beach and how terrified he was thinking they were Viet Cong only to discover it was a lovers paradise is worth the price of the book alone

My whole childhood I wanted an army suit…in 1968 when I was 18 I got my wish.
