Test New Voting Device In R Primary

It’s only for Republicans and Constitutionalists, but early Voting in Ada County began February 22nd and will continue through March 4th. It will be a good opportunity to test the new voting devices.

You mark your ballot as usual, but when it is slipped into the “tabulator,” the vote is recorded and at the close of voting, a printout is created and then the locked tabulator is sealed and taken to election central where a thumb drive is removed and downloaded into the master computer.

New touch screen electronic terminal creates and prints your ballot.

To offer more convenience to voters, three Early Voting locations are currently in operation from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. As not all citizens are able to get out to vote during standard weekday hours, a weekend Early Voting option will again be available at the 400 N. Benjamin Lane, Boise location this Saturday, February 27th from 10am to 4pm.

For local Democrats, the Idaho Democratic Party is hosting a Presidential Caucus on March 22nd. Ada County Elections is not involved with the administration of the caucus and voters should contact the Democratic Party directly for details at http://adademocrats.org/ or http://idahodems.org/

  1. Too bad this isn’t statewide especially in the more populated counties.

  2. “Those who cast the votes decide nothing.
Those who count the votes decide everything.”

Computerized voting is just wrong. Google “hack voting machines”. All the machines seem to be designed to steal the vote should the corporate media and infinite money fail to fix an election.

Will Microsoft be offering the OS for this?

This reeks of abuse potential. I’ll definitely be keeping my paper copy.
