Ada County needs to be dragged into our century and allow for the electronic request for an absentee ballot. That I have to mail or fax the request is so 1990.

I am fine mailing in the signed ballot with my original signature, just want the absentee ballot per an email request or on-line form, not mail or fax. Do they still make fax machines????

I don’t think that you need a photo i.d. – although early voting requirements may be different. I do know that although poll workers may tell you that you need a photo i.d., you don’t. You do, however, have to sign an affidavit that says that you are who you say your are.

I have been following the absentee balloting closely and am very encouraged at the interest in this election as indicated by the number of ballots sent to date.

Who knows? I think that Phil Mc’Granes food truck voting will be a big hit again as it was in November. At least I hope so.
