Wolf, okay I see that.
City did so on May 12th, 2017.

It's been happening for over a year!

There was NO expectation any of this would get better. Should have been done a long time ago.

Further, only TWO of the homeowners have been "ordered" to demolish the homes. There are SIX homes there in the immediate affected area. What? 2 are not habitable and the others are? Not!
Clear the whole street with city condemnation process (paid by the developer under the principal he sold an unfit product) and let someone else start over if they can possibly do so.

Over a year and only 2 of the 6 houses:
DOUBLE City Failure.

"Like an inner city ghetto"

Hilarious!
Maybe ghettos with nice landscaping and million dollar views.
So Alto Via has become the new Rhodes Park for police to patrol?

People have been "trespassing" there for the past 12 months. Only the past 2 weeks, BPD has cared. My guess is, BPD is more concerned about fireworks and drugs than they are of actual 'trespassers'.
Just like the greenbelt "closed" signs, where ridiculous rules abound, people ignore the rules.

And Boise City has installed a camera on the street. Nice that the city is spending tax dollars on this project to monitor worthless property.
Meanwhile ground/water monitoring stations were installed on the main road as well...
Just send that invoice to the people of Boise $$$

If the city were truly concerned about the "ghetto" and the safety issue so much that the road is closed, and public property (a road) is at risk to passersby, the city should require the property owners to remove the structures-- much like the city cites homeowners for dry weeds as a fire hazard and eyesore-- this too should apply, even to doctors and lawyers.

Another city failure.
