There are more 50 cent words in that statement than a politician speech. Maybe the mayors office could make a release using language us more common folks speak. I'm not really sure what that office is providing something us simple taxpayers need.

Why is nobody talking about the fact that nearly ALL Boise’s electricity/energy comes from hydroelectric dams, which ALREADY IS clean energy?? Also solar and wind are not necessarily “clean” because Solar panels require intensive mining to extract rare earth minerals to create and they are deadly toxic when disposed of.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/michaelshellenberger/2018/05/23/if-solar-panels-are-so-clean-why-do-they-produce-so-much-toxic-waste/amp/

Also every wind farm requires a natural gas plant built next to it to fire up when the wind stops blowing. d about California’s mandate on solar panels..builders are meeting the mandate that all new houses must be built with solar panels by putting on cheap panels, which many residents take off and throw out after moving in the house.

Solar panels are EXTREMELY TOXIC when dumped in landfills, mercury, lead, etc, seeping into the water supply because there are not designated disposal methods and they are being thrown away en masse. This is what happens when government gets involved in energy. Which begs the question, when did the city government get in the energy business? And how will they do this? Energy and electricity and power decisions are the jurisdiction and responsibility of Idaho Power and the Idaho Public Utility Commission.
