Parking Tickets: You may remember me as the one going around and around about the
parking tickets and the places that are not clearly marked at all. I want to thank you personally
for getting the ones in our neighborhood, the signage up, that will be very helpful. As you know
I really felt is was pretty wrong to be sticking us and our clients with the parking tickets that were
so unclear and confusing, so again I want to tell you I appreciate your efforts on that. You may
still hear from some other state agencies though who have been getting stuck too, but again,
thank you for following up on that.

Taxi Cab Issue: Actually I’m not here; I’m out of the country and getting back. There are a lot
of changes on the Boise City Airport. You guys are doing very good services to the City Hall
and other stuff but the problem in the airport, they put too much tightening for our drivers and
they’re paying more money and other stuff; they put camera on other stuff; they don’t prorate
any help from seven years almost, no genius at any parking lot allotment, and so many drivers
almost they left from the job, and so many companies are like dying, but still the airport is not
helping at all. I spoke to the director before; it doesn’t help, I’m a manager too. But they’re not
helping any help, so far they’re tightening all the employees co-workers, we are trouble already.
I spoke with the Labor Commission also and still it’s worse day by day. We need help right
away. Please call me any time. I hope Mr. Mayor can help the situation and Honorable Mayor
can help our problems. Thank you and Happy Holidays and God Bless You.

Towing Regulation: I have a concern about this new regulation regarding towing vehicles. I’m
part of a homeowner’s association and we quite often tow vehicles, and having to be required to
be present when the vehicle is being towed and to sign a paper is ridiculous, I think. It’s very
dangerous; we’ve already had run-in’s with people towing their cars before. It creates a very
hostile and dangerous situation that is really unnecessary for me and the driver or whoever else
happens to be there. I think it’s a really bad idea and I can’t think of any reason why it would be
a good idea. I would like somebody to contact me, whichever department is in charge of this
and maybe explain to me why this is necessary.

Complaint: I just wanted to lodge a complaint today, December 23rd about the Nativity Scene

  1. Mr. Crawforth, with all due respect and with a true sense of the holiday season,(I hope BG is out of town) please go pound some sand! If you feel a need to discuss my suggestion in further depth, please call me at 484-1888.

Separation of church & state. Having a nativity scene on public property is clearly unconstitutional. It implies a government preference for one religion over other religions.

EDITOR NOTE–Rod, you have a point, but the bigger question for the BG is this: If there was a nativity scene at the City Hall was it allowed there by the same folks who towed the 10 Commandments out of the city park?

We didn’t notice, nor care about the city hall decorations.

  3. Give it a break Rod. We are a christian based nation that accepts all others. Your political correctness position is a huge reason why we are in as much trouble as we are. Why don’t you try to eliminate the muslim religion from the government in Iran? I will never understand why we, as a nation, think so little of ourselves!

Actually, religion (all of them) is the reason we are in the mess we are in. The various religions are NOT tolerant of each other.

Iran has a different Constitution than we do. Ours requires separation of church & state.

  5. Rod, I honestly wish you the best of luck in dealing with your personal issues!

  6. Rod, where in the constitutional amendments does the phrase

    “separation of church & state”

    actually exist?
