Politicos Continue Puppet Act For Chamber

In the spirit of Christmas, local politcos continue to act as puppets of the Chamber of Commerce–often at the expense of commoners unable to buy the access to power the Chamber controls.

For a mere $40 you can drink and munch with politicians who don’t even understand they are being used like Willy Nelson at a Farm Aid concert.

Here are the details:
Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce Holiday Reception with Elected Officials
Date: 12/2/2008
Time: 05:00 PM
Location: Boise Centre on the Grove, 850 W. Front St., Boise

Any bets on how many legislators, commishes, counselors, and other politicos would show up if the GUARDIAN, Food Bank, Homeless Shelter, Conservation League, or PTA sponsored such an event? No one wants to talk to common citizens AFTER an election.

Thanks to events like the various “State of the City or County” breakfasts, the Chamber has plenty of cash to toss back to the politicos. To their credit, the Chamber was influential in passing the recent extra vehicle tax on commoners while EXEMPTING commercial and farm vehicles from any county registration fees.

Each spring they capture the Deciders for “planning conferences” in Sun Valley which are attended by politicos at tax payer expense to hear the Chamber indoctrination.

  1. Can you please explain to me what this article is about? From what I gather you hate “politicos,” the Boise Chamber of Commerce, legislators, commishes, and counselors. You also seem to disagree with the latest increase in taxes via vehicle registration fees. What does that have to do with the holiday reception? Are you the fun police? Are elected officials not allowed to have a Christmas party like the rest of us? Is this comment even going to be posted on your hyper censored website? Answers please…

  2. Gee! Given the current state of affairs, I am surprised that they would all gather under one roof. The Taliban have been taught to never gather in groups of more than two. “The predator may be watching”. Never mind, the COC would just buy a new batch of lackeys, and we would wind up with ANOTHER hole in the ground downtown!

Hey Cyclops, you obviously missed Simplots funeral. There were guys crawling all over that place that looked just like the Blackwater guys on patrol in Iraq. They all had black outfits with no markings and were loaded for war.

Our local rich and powerful are not going to be easy targets should someone, or some group decide they are part of the current looting of America, and try to fight back.

  4. HMMM! Let’s see! I am the head of a terrorist group and I want to make a statement in the U.S. Where do I go? What do I do? Hit the funeral of a 90 plus year old man in Boise Idaho? Not so much! The local rich and famous are considered lower middle class in the big scheme of affluence. Black Ops running around Jack’s funeral? Me thinks paranoia runs rampant with some folks. Maybe it’s because some of them realize how badly they have screwed the state and are a little concerned that the “locals” are pretty well fed up! But violence against the “privileged”? Not Hardly!

I heard a while back that Idaho had the largest concentration of millionaires in America. But some other place recently took top spot.

I’d guess we’re still at the top of the list. Simplots funeral was a sea of gold, diamonds, furs, and trophy wives attached to dessicated old geezers.

You could have ‘purified’ Idaho with a few well placed charges.
