The early report on KTVB Channel 7 news Monday headlined the death of Velma Morrison, the millionaire philanthropist, but the image on the screen was that of former mayor and city councilor Carolyn Terteling.
When contacted by the GUARDIAN for comment, it was no surprise when she quoted Mark Twain’s famous quip, “reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.”

They did a funny last week too when reporting on the woman who brought her gun at the airport, stating the woman was “carrying a three hundred and eighty caliber hand gun…” My husband and I had a good long laugh at how big that woman’s purse must have been to haul such a cannon. = >

“Believe nothing you hear and half of what you see”.
Forgot who said this but it came back to me after reading this story.

Wow, KTVB is still on the air?
I gave up watching them sometime between the “Brent Coles story is not newsworthy” (because he is our buddy) and the anchors taking a Micron-funded, dune buggy racing junket in Mexico with the Micron execs (because we are their unofficial cheer-leading team). Right after Micron whacked 20% of their work force. Classy moves by KTVB.
