I.F. Coppers Asked To Enforce Dress Code

IDAHO FALLS–Doldrums of summer lead to silly news stories and today Idaho Falls Coppers will take center stage in the world limelight after suggesting that a local resident refrain from wearing a bunny suit. FREE SPEECH!!

On Tuesday residents of the eastern Idaho town complained of a man scaring the neighborhood kids by wearing a bunny suit in his back yard and peeking at children from behind a tree. We had visions of fake ears, a big cotton tail, high heels, and lots of cleavage.

Instead, it is apparently just your run of the mill easter rabbit-type suit. Not the choice of most people on a hot summer day, but certainly not worth a visit from the local coppers.

The GUARDIAN talked to the I.F. copper’s press agent and she told us the guy did not expose himself, make threatening gestures or statements. Neighbors just didn’t like the way he dressed–he sometimes adds a tu tu and also has a cowboy outfit.

The REUTERS newswire picked up the report and has flashed it around the globe. No doubt this will put Idaho in the national spotlight that we crave som much.

  1. Thanks Dave for the interesting story. did you speak to the IF police in person? In other words, where were you when the man in the bunny suit was spotted, in Idaho Falls maybe? Why no picture of the bunny, are you afraid some readers might recognize the “bunny”?? You have been accused of worse.

  2. When bunny suits are outlawed, only outlaws will have bunny suits.

  3. What is the big deal in Idaho Falls? We have a bunch of clowns down at city hall every day!

  4. I bet he’s from California and voted for Obama

  5. Oh My Goodness!I hope Meridian PD will forgive me if I am turned in by evil neighbors for twirling my baton in a cowgirl hat and appropriate attire in my own backyard!I like to amuse the squirrels and birdies.

  6. Guess I’ll have to see about getting me a Goofy costume.
No I’m from Idaho and yes voted for Obama, and no didn’t vote for Butch.

  7. Every winter there’s a guy who dresses in a red suit and white beard and scares kids. I guess the IFPD has set a lawful precedent that adults will not be able to dress in costumes in public, so no more santa. Come to think of it, whenever I see guy’s dressed in that white collared costume from the Exorcist movie I get creeped out. Hopefully the IFPD will keep those guys off the streets also.
