The GUARDIAN has tried to “do the right thing” during these rough times, but knowing just exactly what is proper has become a blur.
We talked to a fishing buddy who told us the Fish and Game boat ramps are closed at C.J. Strike as well as the Idaho Power parks. However the Black Sands ramp was open. He reported at least 80 boats on the water one warm day. Good or bad to be there?
Swan Falls area ramps were roped off and closed as well.
Some coffee shops are in the take-out only mode, but we know of one that is open with indoor counter service and outdoor seating only. Folks seem to keep their social distance. Good or bad?
We have actually done the cop car parking lot coffee chat with vehicles facing opposite directions in order to have driver side windows opposite, but still six feet apart. Do you keep your own newspaper or is it OK to share the read?
The entire situation sort of reminds us of dating. Conduct the interviews about sexual practices, past contacts, choices etc. before any decisions or moves. Either way, you are left with the universal nagging question, “Will he (she) respect me in the morning?”
